I just wanted to say that I don't condone loud pipes on the street. I think it's rude, because it is, and roaring through town is a great example of "how to be a total jerk". So upon the installation of a really loud exhaust, we've decided to do something called:
1. When accelerating, don't exceed 3500rpm, that's when the rasp gets naughty.
2. Push in the clutch while braking to a stop or turn. Noone around you knows (or cares) what a proper heeltoe downshift sounds like.
3. Don't leave the car idling outside for extended periods of time, such as overnight, or while at work.
4. Don't substitute revving your engine for a car horn, when signaling to the motorist ahead of you that the light has indeed turned green.
Follow these few simple steps to cheaper, more efficient travel/meal preparation, and keep the neighbors from cutting your brake lines at the same time!

So here's where we are now: The car is nearly ready, but still lacks the expensive safety equipment we need for it to be legal.
We are all in for the July 16-17th Lemon's event Detroit Irony, if we can conjure the $1500 or so needed for entry fees (the deadline is rapidly approaching) and misc. stuff like spares, fluids, and a way to tow the car out there.
Gingerman is the race track, in South Haven, MI. It's across the lake from Chicago, and we are really excited to race there... The newest video features our new EBC brakes and glasspack race exhaust.
Are you afraid of the SAAB? Have a meaty day.
Happy New Year, it's time for an update.

The car's ready to be caged!
All that's left to pass tech is our safety cutout switch, roll cage, 5 point harness, a firewall without a Buick sized hole in it, and a battery box to relocate it to the rear. If anyone has some long battery cables let us know.
The next one will be some video taken when we sold our seats and stereo to afford these goodies. Expect that one in a few weeks! We got $190 dollars for them, meaning the investment of this car at its core (based on lemons rules) was only $210!
*Sorry it took so long to get this uploaded, youtube stripped the audio originally because the soundtrack featured a Talking Head's song. (Why are there other videos with copyright music on youtube?). So...we went with something a little more obscure, remixed, re-encoded, and re-uploaded. We're going to explore what vimeo has to offer... Anyway...*
We're on the road!!

It's time to say goodbye to the off-site build garage and take our slightly rusty 900 home for finishing touches and...holy crap this is the first time on the road since August!
