Scaling the Summit pt.1

So, as it turns out, The Q has a race coming up, and soon. Like, in a few days soon. As usual, cutting and welding has taken priority over web updates, but don't worry we have tons of new photos and video of the stuff we did, and a new sponsor. A company called Auto Rust Technicians helped us out on our passenger side wheel well problem with one of their Safe-T-Cap rust repair kits. Now...with some luck, the wheel will stay on in hard left turns. That's especially important since the race we are running has a corner that mimics the Nurburgring Carousel.
(usually race cars drive around the Nurburgring, but I found a picture of a bus on it and find it hilarious. Bottom line, steep banked left hander, hell on suspension)
Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia has everything, long straits, interesting corners, elevation change, and according to LeMons Staff; a Juggalo Gathering for car geeks. It's called Hyperfest, and we are a part of it! The raceway has three separate courses, so while we race on Shenandoah (the best one) there will be SCCA racing, drift car ride alongs, car shows and other fun stuff destroying the other two.
But wait, there's more to this coming weekend. On Friday night, eEuroparts is hosting a charity event with us that will help raise money for pediatric cancer research, the organization is Alex's Lemonade Stand. I'm sure you've heard of it, so come out and eat some BBQ and donate some cash. The first part may not be feasable for all of you (but c'mon we're hauling out there, from Illinois. With a minivan. It's our brand of hardcore, the idiotic kind) but donating is feasable for EVERYONE, so follow the link and contribute to the cause.
So the mad dash packing has ended for the night, like eEuroparts.com on Facebook to get all our updates from the race. Wish us luck, we've never done anything like this before! As captain I gotta admit we are moving on up, probably to a heart attack. The logistics for building the first chimpanzee-only cruise ship line might be easier than putting on a LeMons race like this so far away from home. Hm...that gives me an idea..
